I love the winter Olympics. Really, deeply, truly love them. Sure I am a sports fan, but the sports is really secondary. I am far more interested in the fact that nations sponsor the mentally insane to accomplish feats that would be disregarded by most as suicidal.
Quite a few people point to events like the Olympics and the Soccer World Cup as shallow displays of jingoism. Maybe they are right. Personally, I think there are far more worrisome displays of jingoism than a person throwing themselves down an ice shoot dressed in their nations flag. So until the argument is settled one way or the other I am taking this opportunity to try and bring the world together musically. Today we are happy to present part one of the AC ANNEX parade of nations.
Since Vancouver is hosting this winter games I thought we would start off with some Canadian contributions to the world of music. Enjoy!
